Fall Semester 2025 is officially back in season here at the Unsinkable Albany State

University just in time for the grand opening of Residence Hall 7! Albany State University

was excited to announce the cutting of the ribbon and opening of the New Hall 7 Residence

Hall built on East Campus located near hall 6.

Honor Junior and Seniors students who are excelling in the classroom have the

opportunity to live in the new residence hall facility. They have made a significant

contribution to academic success here at Albany State University. The newly constructed

30,682 square feet residential hall is to help increase graduation rates, prioritizing student

careers and legacies to come. This new residence hall is not only vibrant but also bright,

airy interiors and vibrant common spaces that encourage connection and community for

honor students.

College life is nonstop—walking to class, diving into extracurriculars, staying active

in clubs and organizations—it’s a full schedule from sunrise to sunset. That’s why having

the right supplies is important, but having a space to come home to is essential. Studentsneed more than just a place to sleep—they need a cozy, peaceful retreat where they can

unwind, recharge, and feel at home. After a day filled with learning, leading, and living

campus life to the fullest, there’s nothing better than coming back to a space designed for

comfort, community, and connection.

As the university continues to invest in new facilities, expanded academic

resources, and student-focused initiatives, Residential Hall 7 stands proudly as a symbol

of progress — and a promise that more is on the way.

Through a rigorous academic environment, dedicated mentorship, and a culture

grounded in resilience and pride, ASU fosters educational achievement that goes beyond

the classroom.

Here at Albany State, we are constantly rising the standard for our students to

elevate, earn degrees and impact the community positively as a whole altogether
